The art critic Gabriel Gutnisky rated a "tenacious palette " the work of this cordobese painter that adds to her remarkable career in our city, in the country and abroad an "acknowledgement to her persistent plastic task of increasing the value of the historical and cultural heritage of our city". Matilde Hubaide was selected in many occasions in the National Hall of Painting; she won the Prize in Rosario and received numerous mentions and distinctions in exhibition halls and in various contests.

Her subject matter includes interiors, still life works, rural and urban landscapes ˆ our historical heritage ˆ churches, chapels, monuments, especially the work of the Jesuits, and also portraits and the outstanding series made in ink and captured at the very moment of action from prominent performers of the world of music, lyric, the stage and the literature.

During her journeys abroad and to neighboring countries, she expressed her feelings in the series JOURNEY NOTES (drawings) which deserved laudatory comments on the part of the specialized critic.

"With the energy and chromatic intensity that distinguishes her among the artists of her generation, in synthesized versions and contrasted against reality, in control of the pleasure and the exploration of senses" we present today this collection of landscapes of our mountain ranges
