Thievery Corporation is happy to announce the latest addition to their catalogue, Versions is in stores worldwide right now. Versions is the ultimate collection of Thievery Corporation remixes features 18 dubbed-out versions of songs from The Doors, Sarah McLachlan, Astrud Gilberto, Nouvelle Vague, Wax Poetic feat. Norah Jones, Anoushka Shankar, Transglobal Underground and many more. Also includes a new original Thievery Corporation track featuring reggae legend Sister Nancy.
Thievery Corporation has teamed up with Urge to launch their new remix album Versions on May Wednesday, May 17th. Versions will be available digitally exclusively at www.urge.com. Due to legal restrictions, the album will NOT be available on iTunes or eMusic. Urge will be the ONLY place to get the album digitally for the first month.
Many of you have inquired why the album will not be available on iTunes. Simply put, iTunes will not allow us to put the album up for sale as a full album download only. We cannot put the album up any other way since, as this is a remix record, we do not control the rights to the individual songs, as we would on a Thievery Corporation artist album. Its certainly not our choice, but its a policy that we cant change despite many, many attempts.
