Upcoming Curl Curl release comes out in January, featuring the hot Australian artist Francisco Foo with remixes by Shortboard (aka Gerald Masters & Phil Brökelmann) and Frankman. FRANCISCO FOO is the brainchild of Melbourne electronic producer, Shaun Green. He has been releasing material under the name BLIMP - Prefabric8 (AUS), Pro-JexFramework (USA) - for the past 6 years. During a series of live gigs supporting rock acts at Melbourne's famous Punter's Club, Shaun found his slower, more melodic tracks appealed to a broader audience. He teamed up with sax player, Fin Waters, (from legendary funk band, MOEBIUS), creating a more jazzy, melodic style of dance music which was accessable enough to bridge the gap between techno and rock and keep any crowd moving all night long. With regular live gigs, supporting international DJs such as Jay J (USA) and Dizzy (USA), and an album in the works, FRANCISCO FOO are set to bring their sexy, soulful sounds to the world.

(UK),
With a slice of hip hop here, a dash of jazz there, and a glass of New Zealand soul everywhere, Opensouls have, somewhat unexpectedly, with a few CDR and sublime word-of-mouth following amongst the international set, become one of New Zealand's most appealing bands. The Opensouls collective around Jeremy Toy on guitar, Isaac Aesili on trumpet and Julien Dyne on drums is to be watched. Individually working with Fat Freddy’s Drop, Feelstyle, This Information, Ladi Six to name a few, they are in high demand as session musicians and producers. Together on stage they are Opensouls. The island style of „In Your Hands“ is also featured on the current ‚Soulsearching’ compilation on Compost Records. Curl Curl Music is proud to release the exclusive remixes of “In Your Hands” by Dutch soulmate Gerd4Lux Recordings, freerider Zimpala from France, and the talented local crew Inner Eye from New Zealand, plus a previously un-released edit by Opensouls themselves. Just put the needle on the record and check it out. New Zealand is on the map. Enjoy the ride.
Phil "Curl Curl" Brökelmann (DJ / Curl Curl A&R) has moved from Munich, Germany to Wellington, New Zealand. From 2000 until 2002 Phil already spent time in Sydney, Australia. From 2002 until 2005 he worked with Munich¹s Compost Records. For his new job at Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa Phil relocated in March with his family to the South Pacific. In 2004 Phil Brökelmann founded the Pacific-European-label Curl Curl Music with management in Germany and A&R in New Zealand.
Also out now is Opensouls "In Your Hands" (Original Mix) as a license for the "Soulsearching" compilation on Compost Records (CPT 190-2). www.compost-records.com

Selected DJ-Quotes about “In Your Hands Remixes”:
Laurent Garnier (F-Comm, Paris):
"Love both tracks on B side. Will definitely play it out!"
Andrew Jervis (Ubiquity Records, USA):
"I like the GERD mix best - diff direction than normal for him, but something that works well with a lot of the good mid-tempo soul stuff around right now. Feelin' it... Keep up the good work."
Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister / G-Stone Recordings, Vienna):
"Supa stuff. I will be taking it with me on my travels. Mix 1/2/4 are my favourites... "
Rainer Trüby (Trüby Trio / Root Down / Compost Records, Freiburg):
"Nice one! Smooth stuff. Favourite mix: Opensouls Edit"
Alan Brown (Soul Seduction, Vienna):
“Very good. Steady and thorough, no big bangers for the floor, but still very articulate music and very enjoyable. Gerd mix is gentle on my mind, very nice. I really like the Inner Eye mix too, simple but effective chords. The final mix has a kinda Fat Freddys Drop feel to it which is very welcome.”
Kid Kenobi (Sydney, Australia):
“I really love 'In Your Hands'! It's a brilliant song.!”
Bennson (Equatorial Records, Melbourne, Australia):

Jimi Disko (Subwax / Malmö, Sweden):
"Like all mixes but play Gerd´s 4Lux Mix the most and actually on 45rpm at –6 on the pitch and it gets really phunky! Check it!”

"It's a beautiful song and I prefer the Gerd remix."
Amber Romano & Donald K. (mondomedeusah Toronto, Canada):
